Welcome! Looking for a character animator? Looking for someone passionate? Someone who can learn fast, work under pressure and stay motivated? Someone who loves animation and animating? Look no further.
My specialty is 3D character animation, but I also have experience with 2D sprite animation, prop and character modeling, motion capture data collection and animation cleanup, texture and normal map creation, rigging, and compositing. I’ve done extensive work with a variety of 3D software applications, including Maya, 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, MotionBuilder, AfterEffects, and Photoshop.
My latest project was part of the Indie City Games Game Jam. Our team made Dude Icarus, a Flash platformer with a Greek mythology theme, in only two weeks. I contributed enemy sprites, concept art, and several background pieces for the project.
I also served as Lead Animator for Grunt Work, a co-op brawler for the PC produced by the Columbia College Chicago Game Design senior class of 2010. This project was a miniature version of a full-scale game development project, with over 30 artists, designers, and programmers contributing to the project. I directed the mocap sessions, cleaned all mocap data, and did the animation cleanup for all player characters. I also did the rigging for all game characters, and assisted in the construction and debugging of the animation pipeline. I graduated with honors in May 2010, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Game Design, with a concentration in 3D Animation.
